Me Armenia Teixeira primarily focuses her practice in family litigation. Having a great vocation for public speaking, she first obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in Political Science in 1989. Me Teixeira then obtained her law degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1994, and was called to the Quebec Bar in 1995.

Through a diversified career beginning in civil matters for the Public Protector for almost six years, followed by a lengthy stint as a sole practitioner, Me Teixeira was a founding partner of the firm O'Hanlon Sanders Teixeira before co-founding Arruda Teixeira in 2019. She has accumulated 20 years of experience in Family Law and Youth Protection, fields for which she is passionate due to their human aspect, as she fervently advocates for the most emotionally vulnerable. Although unswervingly composed, Me Teixeira remains sensitive to all emotional and legal issues arising as from divorces and separations, both for clients as well as their children.

As a mother of three children of her own with whom she nourishes a close relationship, it is in this spirit that Me Teixeira advises and represents her clients in divorce, custody, alimony or child support, common-law spouses and filiation proceedings. Her great knowledge in Youth Protection matters allow her to professionally and rigorously pilot emotionally charged files. Her rather Cartesian side easily and efficiently juggles both civil and corporate files, and through which her negotiation skills stand out.

While Me Teixeira furrows the Superior Court and Court of Appeal’s hearing rooms daily, the exceptional course of her career has led her to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada as a correspondent for a wide-ranging and leading case in family law. Her work ethic is marked by honesty, equity and attention to her clients' best interests.
